Visa Exemption

Citizens of countries who signed bilitual visa free agreement can travel to Myanmar without visa for 14 days. They are : Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia; Malaysia; Philippines and recently Singapore. 
Please note that visa exemption is only applied for tourism purpose.

Myanmar Visa Requirements

To apply for visa; you need these documents :
- A passport with at least 6 month validity.
- Passport size photo either printed ( when applying through Embassy ) or Digital
- Travel document ( hotel, flight reservation ) when applying through Embassy
- Visa fee or credit card to pay for visa fee online
- Information about children who is attached with your passport.

Visa on Arrival

The concept of visa on arrival is different in Myanmar from other countries you may know. This visa is defined as pre-arranged visa on arrival and it is applicable for more than 100 countries. 

Who can apply for visa on arrival
Pre-arranged visa on arrival only applies for those who enter Myanmar by air through the border checkpoints of Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw and for border crossing from Thailand to Myanmar including Tachileik, Rannong and Myawaddy.
Other border gates are not accepted. 

The procedure
To apply, you need to submit all the information requested in the governmental form including passport details, degital photos, travel dates and flight reservation. 
  For most of travelers from America, Europe, Australia and Asia, to visit Myanmar, you need to have a visa. Since 2012 to now, the government has made efforts on visa policy which helps travelers to obtain visa easily from their country.
