Unique Home of Pa-Oh Culture

The enticing attraction of Sagar remains untouched until 2003. Its mystery exodus from the 108 stupas and they are seasonally under the water, especially in moonsoon time. Sagar' stupas offers a great travel back to the past as they were built from 16th to 17th century. 
On the lake side, the village of Thaya Gone, home to Pa-Oh, Shan and Inthar people is famous for its production of  rice wine while Sae Khaung Pottery Village is a good spot to observe how villagers distill oil by their styled technique.
Another site that attracts many photographer in Sagar is Tar Kaung, a series of more than 200 stupas. 

Tour to Sagar

From Inle Lake, embark on a scenic cruise toward the southern bank of Inle. With the backdrop of mountain and floating village, your adventure begins with many photogenic opportunities. 
The boat trip takes about 3 hours with some stops on the way to appreciate the local villages. Upon arrival, you will be guided by a Pa-Oh man who will introduce all the uniqueness of Thaya Gone, Sae Khaung villages and their traditional workshops. 
We suggest you to try Shan noodle in this area for lunch as it is one of their specialities.
Return to your resort/ hotel in the afternoon.
